In the Spirit of Learning
The SFS Investment Competition (SFSIC) is an annual investment competition hosted by the SAIT Finance Society. Teams go head to head to attempt to outperform their peers based on a case scenario, with an opportunity to practice their investment skills in a risk free environment. If you don't have a team but would like to participate, sign up on your own and you will be added to a team.
This year the winning team will be celebrated with commemorative plaques and each member will receive a $50 gift card to the location of their choice. Don’t miss your chance to showcase your skills and take home the top prize.
How It Works
Teams
Teams of 2-3 can register for the competition. To be eligible, individuals must be a student of a recognized educational institution and be able to prove enrolment.
Process
Teams will have 5 days to grow their $100,000 portfolio using a mock account that is created on Investopedia. Teams will share their portfolio link and a screenshot at event end so it can be monitored throughout the competition.
Results
Teams will present the strategy they chose and their results at an awards ceremony hosted at SAIT by the SAIT Finance Society.
